Marmon-Herrington Armored Car by Chan Jackson

Chan's latest project is this 1/35th scale IBG Marmon Herrington Armored Car. He characterizes it as probably the roughest build he has attempted in a long time. It is a multi-part hull and chassis kit typical of Eastern Europe kits and he had trouble getting things to line up up correctly.

He also experienced problems when it came to painting. To finish the model, he used the AK Real Color Caunter set. Being a new brand of paint to him, he thought it would be similar to Tamiya. However, since it's lacquer based, his attempts to modulate the paint using Tamiya acrylics resulted in issues mixing the two. Cleanup was also a problem. It's one of those kits you're glad to have finished; it looks okay but you're really not pleased with.

The model represents a vehicle in the 2nd New Zealand division serving in the ill-fated Grecian campaign in 1941. The figures are Alpine and an ancient Squadron Combat Line figure.
