Brummbar by Jim Mesko

Jim built the 1/35th scale DML Brummbar with molded-on zimmerit out-of-the-box and added a bicycle as stowage.  The model took a silver medal in this year's AMPS Nationals. Also, Jim took gold medals with his Cromwell and British WWI Mark IV entries and silvers with his Staghound and Hotchkiss.

M26 Pershing by Jim Mesko

Jim does a great job on the Tamiya 1/48th scale M26 Pershing. He says it was an easy build with the possible exception of the link and length track which were a bit dicey to assemble. An issue with a lot of 1/48th scale armor is the paucity of aftermarket accessories, this kit being no exception. He added the Black Dog but felt it included too few ammo boxes. He used Pactra and Floquil paints to create the color modulation on the model.

WWI British MK IV by Jim Mesko

Another IPMS '17 Nats award winner by Jim. This time it's the 1/35th Tamiya WWI British Mk IV built out-of-the-box with the addition of Takom decals. Jim reports that the numerous dissimilar road wheels make for tedious work but the 200 track links clicked together without a problem and were a pleasure to assemble.

M7 Priest by Jim Mesko

Jim did this Italeri M-7 Priest in a North African scheme. The build itself was straight-forward but Jim added lots of extra gear to give it a "lived-in" look. The 50 caliber machine gun is a Collector's Brass item.

USMC Vietnam-era LVT by Jim Mesko

Jim won a 2nd place trophy in the 2016 AMPS Nationals with this AFV Club LVT. The sandbags on the upper deck are from Hobbyfan. Jim reported that the slab-sided nature of the kit made it a bear to assemble.

British Staghound by Jim Mesko

Jim built the 1/35th scale Italeri Staghound out-of-the-box except for the addition of weld lines and painted it with Pactra enamels. The only problem area he encountered was the fenders. He added Value Gear stowage and camo netting made from gauze and masking tape and re-did the antenna.
