Sd.Kfz. 124 Wespe by David Blankenship

This is Alan's 1/35th scale Wespe released back in 1996.  Dave did a quick "out of the box" build of the kit in '96 and sat it on the shelf where it collected dust until just recently. It was a very basic kit but the only game in town until Tamiya released theirs a short while later.  Thinking it could be improved, he recently cleaned if off, repainted, weathered, and added details to bring it up to a little higher standard.

 

 

Wespe by Terry McKeown

Terry built the new 1/35th Tamiya Wespe out-of-the-box and reported that it went together with typical Tamiya ease although the gun less so that the hull and link and length tracks. It was painted with Tamiya  and Mission Models ( for the mottling) acrylics and AK filters.
