Tamiya M-561 Gamma Goat Build by Rick Slagle

Here is Rick's Tamiya 1/35th scale M561 Gamma Goat  6x6 cargo truck in USMC livery. The model was finished in Model Master enamels and acrylics, MIG washes and pigments, and a final coat of Testor's Dullcote.  Most of the stowage is  Value Gear. Another nicely done piece of modern armor by Rick.

USMC LAV Recovery Vehicle Mini Dio by Rick Slagle

This is the 1/35th scale LAV-R by Trumpeter. Paints used: Tamiya acrylic NATO green from rattle can; NATO brown, NATO black and various colors (enamels and acrylics) from bottles. Testors dullcoated, Mig Productions dark wash, heavy coated with Testors Dullcoat, then dusted with Mig black, medium earth and desert sand  powders.


Packs, rolls, and tarps are from Verlinden, Custom Dioramics and the parts box. Other stowage is from various sources with Verlinden, Hudson & Allen and model railroad chains. Mini-mecca antennae. Orange light is fron who knows where.



Figures are from the Trumpeter 1/35th Modern US Army Tank Crew and Infantry sets with some "Frankensteining" done on them. The base is a wooden plaque from Michaels, with Heiki grass, fine black sandpaper painted grey for the roadway. Armand Bayardi tree trunk painted red brown and dry brushed with deck tan, then dark washed. Creeping vine, grass, etc. by Life-Like landscaping. Tall grass courtesy of a paintbrush wirh Greenline flowers. Yellow lines on road are pin striping tape by Line O' Tape.
