Bernie built Tamiya's 1974 boxing of the M-3 Lee out-of-the-box and
reported it went together well despite the age of the kit. Vallejo
paints and washes were used exclusively with AK desert pigments used to
weather this vehicle of D Company, 3-67 Armored Regiment, 2nd Armored
Division, 1942 North Africa. He had one of those "expletive deleted"
moments when he realized he'd weathered the model before adding the
decals. Panic stricken, he didn't think through the situation and
immediately applied the kit decals. Naturally, they silvered badly so he
plans to remove them, apply dry transfers, and touch up the weathering.
Live and learn.
